Riptides Raw Bar & Grill: Your Go-To Beachside Destination for Live Music and Fresh Seafood

I love all their food. Today my mom and I stopped in we had coconut shrimp crab cakes peel and eat shrimp and some sides it was really good plus we took home food for our spouses. We will definitely be back. The service was excellent cat aka Catherine she was the best she was on top of things she got whatever we need she always had a smile on her face we had her several times before. We will definitely be back and will definitely ask for her.

Hushpuppies appetizer was huge, 10 pieces. The jalapeño aioli was delicious. Drinks were delicious. I had the Ponce Inlet Chicken sandwich, which was good. Sweet potato fries were mostly tasteless. Coconut cay mahi- a large portion of mahi with one dimensional flavor. Plantains were an interesting side dish. Overall, servings were large and we left very full. Two drinks, two entrees, one appetizer = $86+. They do add a service charge for using credit cards. Our server was friendly. Could have been slightly more attentive (by the time he checked on us with our food it was mostly gone) but the table next to us was giving him a difficult time. Wasn’t super clear where the front door was. The front porch has dining seating but it was all put away/stacked due to being off season. I appreciated that the music was kept to a decent level and I could near the conversation at my table.

Always great food and great service. Joe took good care of us tonight! The Big Wave and the Mayport Garlic Shrimp Yes, the food is not fast food priced, but what do you expect at the beach for fresh seafood, big meals and good food all around? We go whenever we are in town!

We came back again after four years because the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Nachos and the Coconut Crusted Mahi left such a good impression on us! Four years later and that still stands! Last time, we had the coconut shrimp which was fantastic but we opted for the bacon wrapped scallops this time and were not disappointed. Our server Cat was fantastic and brought the best energy! Will definitely not wait another four years to come back!

We came to Riptides for dinner on Valentine’s Day. This was where we came on our first date, so it’s always fun to come back! Catherine was amazing, service was on point per usual, and food was delicious, hot, and came from the kitchen fast! Manager checked on us, which is always nice! We love Riptides and we will be back! Hope Catherine is working!!!!

This place was incredible all around. The outdoor seating was nice even though it’s not on the water, the food was AMAZING, even down to the Cole slaw. We got the 2lb crab and it was $65, not bad at all for market price. We also got the popcorn shrimp which was the best either of us have ever had, and I got a nonalcoholic strawberry daiquiri also best I’ve ever had.

Stopped in for an afternoon meal. Husband and i were greeted immediately after we sat down by Catherine. We had some inquiries about drink and food recommendations. Catherine was very knowledgeable of the entree and drink menu. She went above and beyond and made sure everything was great. She’s a valuable asset and highly recommend folks to dine with her for a great experience

Riptides Raw Bar and Grill offers excellent service with attentive, polite staff. My server was intuitive and responsive, making for a thoroughly enjoyable lunch experience. The management on duty was professional, courteous, and clearly committed to guest satisfaction; I personally observed the manager handle challenging situations with other patrons calmly and effectively, leaving everyone satisfied. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and served hot. I look forward to returning in the future. That said, I do have one concern. I was disappointed by the newly added service fee on my bill. I have always been generous with gratuities for Riptides’ serving staff, and I find it somewhat off-putting, or at least not in good taste, to be charged an additional fee simply for choosing to dine at this establishment.
